VStephen

Vtephen (Steve Saenz) is a multiinstrumentalist and singersongwriter from Galveston County whose sound blends Folk Punk, Acoustic Rock, and touches of Americana.

After years of searching for the right band lineup, he embraced a onemanband approach—proving he could create all the energy he needed on his own. Armed with a suitcase bass drum, a foot tambourine, guitar or ukulele, and the occasional kazoo, Vtephen delivers highenergy, heartfelt performances that lift the mood of any room.

His music carries an upbeat, encouraging spirit, offering listeners a mix of raw honesty and feelgood momentum. You can catch him at open mics and stages throughout Galveston Island and the surrounding area. More information is available at linktr.ee/vtephen.

John Robinson

With a fourth-generation music background, I began my career playing drums in a big band and dixie land dance band in Galveston at the age of 9.

Over the years, I have explored various genres, eventually transitioning from drums to guitar and keyboards due to my frustration with supporting musicians who lacked proficiency.

Throughout my 60-year career in Texas, I have played in numerous bands across multiple genres, including country, western swing, punk, new wave, and classic rock, prior to retiring to Galveston in 2018.

Notably, I served as the house engineer and composer for a video and film post-production company in South Texas, where I contributed to projects such as the ‘No Mi Que De Mas’ video by Selena, creating foley sound effects.

Additionally, I worked on the children’s educational puppet show ‘Down at the Zoo,’ which was syndicated internationally, handling music, dialogue, and foley effects.

Currently, I continue to work on my own album in my personal studio and enjoy collaborating with the local music scene, where I have been warmly received by younger artists. Despite my age, music remains a driving force in my life.
